예일 대학교 영국 미술 센터

미국 코네티컷(Connecticut) 주 뉴헤이븐(New Haven)의 예일 대학교(Yale University)에 위치한 미술관입니다. 영국 외의 지역에서는 영국 작품을 가장 많이 소장 및 전시하고 있는 곳이라고 합니다.

미국의 사업가이자 독지가인 폴 멜런(Paul Mellon)이 자신의 영국 관련 수집품들을 1966년 예일 대학교에 기증하면서 미술관이 설립되었습니다.

엘리자베스 시대(Elizabethan era, 1558-1603) 부터 그 이후에 걸쳐 영국의 문화와 예술 관련 작품을 다수 소장하고 있습니다.

소장품들은 크기가 작은 작품들이 많고, 그러다 보니 미술관은 예일 대학교 미술관과 달리 아담한 분위기로 만들어져 있습니다.
