Museo de Arte de Ponce, Puerto Rico, US-PR

줄여서 MAP라고도 부르는 Museo de Arte de Ponce는 푸에르토리코(Puerto Rico) 폰세(Ponce)에 있는 미술관으로 카리브해(Caribbean) 지역에서는 가장 큰 미술관입니다. 

기업가이자 독지가인 뤼스 페레(Luis A. Ferré)가 1959년에 설립하였으며, 현재 건물로 옮겨온 것은 1965년이라고 합니다.

푸에르토리코 작가와 유럽 작가의 작품들 위주로 4,500여점을 소장하고 있습니다. 작품들 중에 특히, 라파엘 전파(Pre-Raphaelite) 중 작품들이 많이 있습니다.

파이낸셜 타임즈(Financial Times of London)에서는 '서반구에서 미국 밖에 있는 개인 소장품들 중 가장 눈에 띄는 작품들(one of the most distinguished private collections in the Western Hemisphere outside the United States)'을 소장하고 있다고 표현하기도 했답니다.

루벤스(Peter Paul Rubens), 크라나흐(Lucas Cranach), 무리요(Bartolomé Esteban Murillo), 들라크루아(Eugène Delacroix), and 번 존스(Sir Edward Burne-Jones)를 포함 여러 작가들의 작품이 있는데 대표적인 작품은  프레드릭 레이튼(Lord Frederick Leighton,1830~18was의 타오르는 6월(Flaming June)입니다. 페레가 1960년에 암스테르담에서 1천 달러도 안 되는 가격에 구입했다고 하는데, 페레가 가장 좋아했던 작품이었다고 합니다.
