인디애나폴리스 미술관

Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis, US-IN

줄여서 IMA라고도 부르는 인디애나폴리스 미술관은  1883년 설립되었으며, 미국 인디애나 주 인디애나폴리스에 있는 뉴필드(Newfields)에 위치합니다. 이 곳에는 인디애나폴리스 미술관 외에 올드필드(Oldfields)라고 불리는 Lilly House and Gardens, 예술공원 Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park: 100 Acres 등이 같이 있습니다.

예전에는 이 지역을 통틀어 인디애나폴리스 미술관이라고 불렀으나, 2017년 뉴필드라고 부르게 되었으며 인디애나 미술관은 이곳의 중심인 메인 미술관만을 칭하게 되었습니다.

미국에서 9번째로 오래되고 8번째로 큰 규모의 종합 미술관으로, 아프리카, 미주대륙, 유럽, 아시아 등에서 수집한 5만 4천점 이상의 작품을 소장하고 있습니다.
