꼬르도바보다는 세비야가 더 유명. 안달루시아의 주도이자 플라멩고의 본고장.

□ 가볼만한 곳

● 스페인 광장 (에스파냐 광장, Plaza de España)

스페인의 광장 중 가장 아름다운 광장으로 꼽히는 곳. 한국에서는 '김태희가 CF를 촬영한 곳'으로 유명. 바르셀로나 올림픽을 기념하기 위해 만들어진 전시성 공간으로 역사적인 유적은 아님.

● 세비야 성당 (Seville Cathedral, English: The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See, Spanish: Catedral de Santa María de la Sede)

유럽에서 세번째로 큰  성당이자 세계에서 가장 큰 고딕 양식. 1세기에 걸쳐 건축돼 고딕, 르네상스, 신고딕 등의 다양한 양식이  섞여 화려한 아름다움을 자랑. 콜럼버스의 유골이 안장된 관이 있음.

● 히랄다  탑 (La Giralda de Sevilla)

세비야 대성당의 명물. 히랄다는 풍향계라는 뜻. '세비야의 바람개비'라는 별칭. 입구가 대성당의 내부와 연결. 높이 105m. 38층.

● 알카사르 (Alcázar of Seville, Real Alcazar)

알카사르는 이스람인들이 기존의 왕궁을 요새화하면서 만든 성채로 유럽의 여러 도시에 존재. 세비야의 알카사르는 그 중 가장 원형이 잘 남이 있다고함.

세비야에 있는 탑. 현재 해양박물관.
