0.25마일 정도 가면 희미한 암각화(petroglyphs)가 있으며, 그 후 Banshee Canyon 으로 진입. 스위스 치즈를 닮은 캐년의 벽면을 볼 수 있으며, 바위에 박혀있는 금속 링을 이용해 picnic area로 올라가서 Information Center로 돌아가는 트레일.

이 지역의 바위들은 약 2천만년 전에 여기서 화산활동으로 만들어진 유문암(rhyolite)이라고 하는 비교적 약한 화산암인데, 사막의 적은 강수량과 강한 바람으로, 이렇게 특이한 모양으로 풍화작용이 진행되어서 구멍들이 만들어 진 것이라고 합니다. 바람이 세게 부는 날에는 저 구멍들에서 특이한 소리가 난다고 합니다.
