Hello there! Today, we are going to dive into the story of Ares, the Greek god of war and destruction. As the son of Zeus and Hera, he is one of the Twelve Olympians, famously known for his hot temper and wild personality! 💥

What Makes Ares So Special?

• 😡 Total Chaos: Even though he is a war god, he is completely different from his wise half-sister, Athena. Ares doesn't care about tactics or peace—he just loves the absolute chaos and smashing of battles!
• 🙅‍♂️ Not Very Popular: Because he was so reckless, almost all the gods (even his dad, Zeus!) found him really annoying. Most mortals were scared of him too, except for the tough people of Sparta who thought his battle energy was super cool.
• 👻 Spooky Squad: Whenever he went to a battlefield, he always brought his sons along: Phobos (Fear) and Deimos (Terror). What a spooky family trip!

Oops! Embarrassing Moments

You'd think the God of War would be super heroic, right? Actually, mythological stories are full of his silly and embarrassing fails! 🤭

• 🕸️ Caught in a Net: Ares had a big secret crush on Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty. But her husband, Hephaestus, found out and trapped them in a super-fine, invisible bronze net! All the other gods came to laugh at them while they were stuck. So embarrassing!
• 🏃‍♂️ Running Away from a Human: During the Trojan War, he got poked by a spear thrown by a human hero named Diomedes (with a little help from Athena). Ares screamed so loud it sounded like 10,000 soldiers yelling, and he ran crying all the way back to Mount Olympus!

Basically, Ares was how ancient people imagined the scary, uncontrollable mess of war. But don't worry, later on in Roman mythology, he changed his name to Mars and became a much more well-behaved and heroic guardian! 🛡️✨

• 🙅‍♂️ 올림포스 공식 왕따(?): 맨날 싸움만 하려고 하니까 아버지인 제우스를 포함해 다른 신들이 엄청 골칫거리로 생각했어요. 인간들도 그를 무서워했지만, 오직 상무 정신 뿜뿜하는 스파르타 사람들만 아레스를 최고라고 숭배했대요!
